SANITARY SEWER OVERFLOW NOTIFICATIONS
A new regulation, (314 CMR 16.00) Notification Requirement to Promote Public Awareness of Sewage Pollution, was recently enacted by Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. This regulation establishes requirements and procedures for notifying the public of certain types of untreated or partially treated wastewater discharges. Please register if you are interested in receiving a public advisory notification from the LSDC if a reportable event was to occur.
Any notices for SSO's will appear on this page.
The Lancaster Sewer Disrict rarely has SSOs and they are generally minor releases that don't get into lakes, streams or rivers.
